Meredith Maynes Prévot was born and raised in the Monterey Bay Area of California. She received her BFA in Studio Art (Painting and Drawing) and a minor in Spanish from Brigham Young University in 2004. She then obtained her MFA degree from the University of Utah in 2007, where she also taught undergraduate painting and drawing for two years. In addition, Prévot has taught undergraduate art history for BYU at the Musée du Louvre in Paris, France. Prévot has lived in South America, Europe, and currently lives in Utah. Annually, she spends extended periods of time with her family in Europe. When in Paris, Prévot is an instructor for educational groups at the Louvre. Her diverse interests, travel experiences, and time spent living abroad continue to influence her studio art practice. Prévot has shown her artwork both locally and internationally.
